Bohemian Dreaming
I always love staying inspired with the decor in my home and continually changing things up to create and maintain a fresh and inspiring space to live in. We've been thinking a lot about this since the New Years and have recently discussed the little things you can do to keep your decor updated and inspired on our latest 'Girl, Inspired' post on the blog. With this in mind I've been extra attentive to inspiring places I see on Pinterest or on blogs this year to gather some new ideas to incorporate into my own place.
This morning I stumbled upon this amazing house on Apartment Therapy and was so excited to share it with you. It's a bohemian dream with bright windows, wood ceilings, colourful textiles, vintage art work and beautiful glass ware. Vanessa, the owner of the house, lives in Eagle Rock, Los Angeles and owns a vintage store called Honeywood Vintage. We've been dreaming of moving to LA way too much lately and seeing the beautiful sunlight seep in through every window in this place definitely affirms this wanderlust.
I always hate when I see a house featured that looks like it was too put together for a photo shoot. This house feels so natural and livable to me. The outdoor space is amazing and full of personality with it's knick knacks and colourful accents but most of all I love the baby blue and pink tiles in the bathroom, swoon. After seeing this space I've chosen 3 things to try and incorporate in my own home this year which are: drape more colourful textiles in my bedroom, create an exposed closet and add more personal details to my back deck. It's so nice to start small and make simple and decisive changes because it's way too easy to feel overwhelmed!
