The Grand Budapest Hotel
There's still such a thrill associated with going to the movies, and last night we decided to go see The Grand Budapest Hotel for date night, which proved to be another magical Wes Anderson masterpiece and a source of endless inspiration. A washed out pastel palette is complemented by intricate baroque design details that have us dreaming of checking into an elegant hotel on our own adventure, visiting the local patisserie for a sugar rush and spritzing on our favourite parfum before sneaking out for a secret rendezvous.
Taking style cues from Agatha, who stands out against the buttoned up tailoring and uniforms of the film's male characters, we'll be dressing in simple neutrals, opting for collared details and hints of pastel. Tying into the colour palette of the film, with hints of red, pink and blue, we think the Emmy Rouge Embroidered Dress fits the aesthetic of the film perfectly, especially with the feminine pearl collar. We also like the idea of letting the Modern Ballerina Dress peeking out under a camel trench, or adding a special accessory, like the Ban.do Flash Bobbi Set into a braided updo.
