Introducing the Updated Studio Bicyclette

Hello friends, and welcome to the updated Studio Bicyclette! It feels so good to be able to say that after about 10 months of not having a website or online “home base” of my own. Not something I would recommend, but here we are, finally on the other side! And that’s something to celebrate.

I don’t think I’m alone in feeling like working on your own brand and designing your own site can be one of the most challenging things. I do think I have exceptionally high standards for myself, and quite frankly, this year has been… a lot. We’ll get into that a little more in a future post, but I wanted to take this opportunity to just give you a quick walkthrough of this new space and also what to expect moving forward. Full transparency — this site still isn’t quite where I want it, but I set myself a goal and done is better than perfect, right? Or in this case, almost-done is better than a landing page…

So let’s take a little tour —

Services

I haven’t had a proper services page in a long time, and this represents about a year of really fine-tuning my process and creating a signature package. A big part of that has meant simplifying to one core offering — The Atelier Experience. Perfect for established businesses who need a high-level refresh, or newer, almost-ready-to-launch brands that have a clear idea of where they’re headed and are ready to invest in a customized strategy and identity, this really includes three pieces that I believe are essential: Strategy, Creative Direction and Design. We start with a deep dive into your story and core values and use that as the platform from which to build a beautiful, intentional and elevated brand through three phases. You can learn more about it here.

You may have also noticed a little preview of something new on the home page — the introduction of semi-custom brands, which is a brand new offering we’ll be launching in the next few months. These are perfect for brands who don’t want to sacrifice style, are just starting out or looking for a quick turnaround and more accessible price point. I’m really excited about this new offering and have so many big plans around it. Keep your eyes on this space and Instagram for updates on that.

I’m also still offering additional a la carte services beyond The Atelier Experience, with the focus being on Visual Directives, Social Media Guides, Brand Styling and Photography, and fully custom designed and developed Squarespace websites. These can be added on to your Atelier Experience or you can work with us to build a custom offering that fits your needs — and your style.

Portfolio

This has been a long time coming as well. Again, total transparency, this is far from finished, and you’ll notice that only one project, Summer House, is fully built out at the moment. There’s a lot more coming, but for now you can at least see a little preview of projects I’ve worked (or am working) on. I really wanted to be able to share more of the process and behind the scenes around a project, so I’ve been playing around with the best way to do so. But this will give you a sense at least for now, and it was a matter of waiting until I could find the time to dedicate to fully building this out, or just get the new site up and add to it over the coming weeks, and this felt like the right move. Take a peek.

I’m also sharing some select photo and styling work, and this will likely take a similar route to the brand design structure once I have some time to build that out, so I can share specific projects and a bit more about the process behind them as well as the full galleries. In the meantime, a lot of my photography and styling over the past year has been focused on creating collections for Haute Stock, which I’d highly recommend if you’re looking for lifestyle imagery to add to your content strategy. More on this later, promise.

Still to Come

Lot’s of exciting things! You may have noticed I don’t have an About page, so that’s definitely something I’ll be adding. I’m also working on a Resources page which will include a lot of my favourite tools, etc.

Finding a new rhythm with blogging is a priority for me moving forward, as is getting back to the newsletter, so I’m working on a plan for those right now, ensuring I make them as valuable and interesting and inspirational as I can for you.

And I’m sure there’s lots I’m forgetting as well! I’m in a really busy season of my business right now, but it was important that I get this up so I can continue building off it.

So just to finish up (for now) — thank you! I’m so glad you’re here, and incredibly grateful for your patience and support, always.

‘Til next time!
