Make A Splash . Wildfox White Label Spring 2014

With another harsh week of Canadian winter behind us we have let our mind escape into the Wildox, Make A Splash, dream world where beaches surround us, we all have long mermaid hair and we live in pastel sweaters that feel like butter. From the rainbow and ice cream prints to the glittering seashells to the open slouchy cardigans, it's a small and simple collection that we just can't get enough of!

"Featuring real life mermaid and pro surfer Hanalei Reponty this collection is all about girls who belong in the ocean!" With our love for LA and laid back beach life, we can definitely get behind that, especially during the long winter months. I think it's extra cool that they used a pro surfer as their model as I've always had secret day dreams of living in Hawaii, waking up at dawn each morning and hitting the ocean with a couple friends, (Blue Crush anyone?). The ocean is such a magical place where time moves slower and one can relax and think, and that's what this look book does for me, slows down reality.

"Since we can't breathe under water, surfing and swimming is as close as it gets, so we celebrate the surfer girl in a magical way... a pastel pretty, feminine mermaid way." There is something so magical about Wildfox's ability to transport us into a dream world so effortlessly. Within each look book is the possibility of being anywhere in the world, with whoever you want. Each time one comes out I'm excited to find out where my mind will wander.
