Mermaid Dreams

Last night I met up with Alyssa to catch up over margaritas and mojitos (have you been to Fonda Lola yet? It's just down the street from us, and they serve up delicious drinks on the cutest back patio - we'll definitely be going back for dinner as well!). We ended up dreaming up a fairly extensive list of summer collaborations, photo shoots and summer adventures to work on together, and I left feeling re-inspired and beyond excited to start planning. Thus, a few new inspiration boards were created and the post-it note lists began. I always love this beginning stage of projects, full of positive energy and a flurry of ideas as we watch the brainstorming process unfold.

With our mutual love for mermaids, mint and all things ocean related, one thing we immediately decided on was that a mermaid inspired shoot needed to happen. Alyssa is currently sporting the prettiest mint hair and recently did a roundup of her favourite mermaid inspired products, which includes our coveted Wildfox sequin shell sweater  and gold glitter and turquoise Ban.do bobbi pins, so it only seemed natural to continue the trend and create a little mermaid magic together. And what better way to start the process of fulfilling our mermaid dreams than with some visual inspiration?
