Take Me to the Beach
It hasn't even been two days since I've been back from my vacation to The Bahamas and I'm already daydreaming about my next adventure and missing the little island where I was lucky enough to spend a week. I knew the vacation would do me good, but I think I underestimated how much I needed this little getaway. The moment I came down the steps at the beach club and stepped onto the white sand on that first day, with the stunning turquoise water in clear view, the sun kissing my skin and the softest breeze blowing through my hair, I was in paradise.
I'm happiest when I'm by the water, and with everything that the past few months have held, I was ready to disconnect and unwind for a little while, which meant lots of reading on the beach and swimming in the ocean. Though I love trips that are full of activities and adventures, there is definitely something to be said for a slower paced vacation, and that's exactly what the first few days were all about.
Our main mode of transportation was a little green golf cart, so we'd take time to explore on our way too and from the beach, stopping to take photos and take in all the beautiful greenery and the pastel buildings. I'm sure you can imagine my excitement upon discovering that the local international school was a cluster of buildings all painted pastel pink and directly on our daily "commute", so that quickly became the perfect backdrop for a serious of photos.
