My Wedding Planning Journey on Style Me Pretty
As you’re probably already aware through a scattering of Love Notes posts or this new hashtag that’s popped up over on my Instagram account, next year holds a pretty exciting event for me — I'm getting married!
It’s already been a fairly long engagement (Jason proposed last November) and the big day isn’t until August 2017, so I’ve had a fair amount of time to ponder various aspects, from who my vendors are going to be to what my wedding colours are, and everything in between.
One of the biggest questions recently, however, has been how much to share here on the blog, since though it feels like it has some relevancy to what I do under the Studio Bicyclette brand, it’s definitely a different type of content than what you’re used to seeing from me.
Well — today I’m here to announce that the dilemma has officially been resolved, as I’ll be sharing my wedding planning journey over on the Style Me Pretty blog!
Today marks the start of this partnership with a quick introduction, and you can expect monthly posts about the process until the big day itself.
I’m excited to share the process of dreaming up the vision for the wedding as well as pulling together all of the details, and since I’ll be doing a lot of the planning and styling myself, you can expect backstage access to what planning a smaller, fairly non-traditional affair looks like.
We’re currently in talks with a taco truck for catering, my first wedding-related purchase was a flock of tiny, rose gold tipped swans, and I’ve made the decision that I’ll be working closely with a local designer to create my dream dress, so that gives you a sense of what to expect!
