Bridal Inspiration // Rime Arodaky
There's a lot of inspiration to be found within the bridal industry, and I'm constantly turning to the pages of magazines and curated Pinterest boards to pick out my favourite pieces and gather styling ideas for future projects or just to keep at the back of my mind. And though I've seen many a wedding dress that I like for this reason or that, it's rare that I pay attention to the designer specifically, instead finding myself more drawn to the silhouette or a specific detail.
When I came across Rime Arodaky though, that all changed, and a new love affair began. When it comes to weddings, my style definitely tends towards the less traditional, and I love unexpected twists on classics, from the cut of a dress to the detail of the styling and how an overall theme plays into the special day.
The 2016 collection is full of quirky styling details in both the campaign and cookbook, and I was instantly drawn to the pretty lace-embellished pieces that showcase a certain je ne sais quoi and have personality, especially paired with the perfect pair of sunnies, shoes that are begging to be taken for a spin on the dance floor, or an attention-grabbing hat.
The philosophy behind the brand and the Rime Arodaky girl is inspired by just that, and has me adding a few new images to my collection of inspiration for when that day eventually comes.
"She loves details, the lightness of our fabrics, sharp lines and delicate finishing touches... Never disguised, our bride has a free minded spirit, she loves dancing barefoot until sunrise. We love listening to our brides, getting to know their dreams and inspirations, discovering their Pinterest moodboards and messy scrapbooks that unveil the bride they will become."
