Dressing for a Fairy Tale
Our love for all things whimsical is no secret. We style with tulle skirts on a regular basis, white lace dresses are considered wardrobe staples, delicate embroidery and embellishment make us swoon, our racks are always stocked with rainbows of pastel, and anything that reminds us of a fairy tale makes it into the shop with no hesitation. So today's style inspiration is for those who relate to Chloe: our dreamers with their heads in the clouds and a penchant for all things vintage, whimsical, and simply pretty.
Staples include a palette of ivory, blush and black, with a focus on details and subtle textures that add that something special to a piece. Relaxed silhouettes, like a simple maxi skirt or kimono, are perfect for achieving that dreamy quality, and lace and crochet mix well with sheer layers. Dresses are a given, and one that mixes ladylike charm scalloped details and a lace overlay, like this Ladakh style, would be the perfect piece. We like to add in touches of metallic and black - a ladylike quilted purse, a bow belt, a felt hat - to anchor the look and give it a little bit of edge and street cred. Sparkly accessories add that final je ne sais quoi, and the Santa Monica Headpiece would be the ultimate accessory.
