Spring Style // Simple Pastel Layers
One of our favourite things about spring are the days when the sun is out and the streets are alive and bustling, when it feels like everyone has emerged from their winter hibernation and has a smile on their face welcoming the gorgeous weather and the change in seasons. Though today is on the complete opposite end of the spectrum (don't even get us started on the weather!), we had one of those days a couple of weeks ago, giving us the perfect opportunity to wander down the street and pick out some fresh flowers in some simple pastel layers.
These in-between seasons call for creative layering and fresh colour palettes, and one of our go-to pieces this spring has been the Indian Summer Kimono, which we have in cream, black and most recently, a gorgeous blush pink, which lets us add a touch of pastel into our wardrobe. The gorgeous crochet trim at the hem gives it a feminine, bohemian touch, and the lightweight style is equally amazing over a little dress for an evening outing as it is with a simple tee and denim, which is how we chose to style it on this occasion. Layering it over one of our basic grey tees and adding a Maison Scotch scarf that features a vintage-style map print of LA in pastel shades, it was an easy look that lends itself well to an afternoon of running errands. We finished it off with an embroidered purse from Darling, round sunnies and of course a bouquet of tulips to complete our spring style!
