Indie Films & Barn Weddings
March is shaping up to be a somewhat crazy month, and though it can be exhausting at times, we wouldn't have it any other way. We're involved with a number of projects and events right now that have allowed us to dabble more on the styling side of things, and there's definitely a bridal undertone to everything right now, which allows us to pull inspiration from different sources and has us thinking a little differently.
This past weekend we headed to Guelph to help style the set and the lovely ladies for an indie film barn wedding that a number of our friends are involved with. We pulled bridesmaids dresses from the shop, the bride's dress from our personal collection and brought in vintage details and shoes from Heel Boy to finish the look off. Aside from the dresses, we're of the firm belief that one of the most important elements of any wedding are the flowers, and we were lucky enough to have Julie of Petals & Stems helping us out in that department. We opted for something a little wild to complement the backdrop of the barn and the DIY elements, and wanted to make sure we had some colour to liven up the space. Julie did an amazing job, and we were so happy to have the gorgeous arrangements as part of our tablescapes that included vintage elements, ivory lace and touches of gold. And of course our favourite part? The stunning floral crown that complemented Emily's red hair perfectly and was the finishing touch on our winter wedding.
