Love Notes // Vol. 4

// The Free People blog is always full of beautiful inspirational photos and creative DIYs, and this floral wedding garland is no exception, and has me wanting to pay a visit to the flower markets. I love when fresh flowers are used in unique ways beyond the traditional bouquet, and this reminds me of the floral heart we did a few months ago and which is still hanging on the studio wall.

// If we've ever met in person, you'll notice that my nails are always painted. It's one of those little things that I just can't go without, and I tend to switch out the colour fairly frequently. Though I tend to opt for pastels or brights and rarely try my hand at nail art, I really love this simple and graphic option.

// Doesn't this photo just scream summer? White dresses, bright colours and so many adventures. Now I'm dreaming of days spent at amusement parks, cotton candy in hand, and maybe, just maybe, finally making the trip to Coney Island.

// Just like I feel naked if my nails aren't painted, I have a selection of tiny rings that I never take off, and this pretty little opal marquis ring is the most recent one I've had my eye on.

// I have a creative shoot this summer that's in the very beginning stages of planning right now, which means I'm currently gathering inspiration and making style notes. Garance Dore shared a little series about three women who use Instagram to share inspiring images of their healthy lifestyle, and I was instantly drawn to the beautiful images of Mary Helen Bowers, Founder of Ballet Beautiful. Does that give you any clues as to the theme of my shoot?

// Though summer often means a return to colour in our wardrobes, recently I've found myself incorporating more black and white into my outfits, instead focusing on playing with texture and print mixing. And really, is there anything more classic and chic than a black and white stripe?
