01 // This time of year is one of my favourites, when neighbourhood walks are filled with flowers and garden-scouting, and the city starts to come alive, whether it's a busy downtown street or a lazy residential 'hood. I've been spending as much time as possible outside, relishing my morning dog walks as a time to hunt for garden inspiration and pick out dream homes. A few weeks ago I planted the gardens up at our family cottage, and our little patio has also quickly been filled with as much greenery and bursts of bright florals as possible.

01 // We all have those bigger ticket items on our wish lists, and for me, it's a pastel Smeg fridge. The retro silhouette and candy-coloured hues are just so different from anything else that's out there, and I love the endless kitchen styling opportunities they would offer, like the pairing with the bright white and colourful accents. I may not be ready to invest in a fridge of my own, but I am thinking that the toaster may have to be my next kitchen purchase.

01 // The Free People blog is always full of beautiful inspirational photos and creative DIYs, and this floral wedding garland is no exception, and has me wanting to pay a visit to the flower markets. I love when fresh flowers are used in unique ways beyond the traditional bouquet, and this reminds me of the floral heart we did a few months ago and which is still hanging on the studio wall.

Needless to say, I'm pretty into all of them. I've started putting my wish lists together, filled with art prints and pillows, and the styling for each room has quickly made it to the top of my decor inspiration.

Love Notes // VOL. 1

01 // Colourful cacti and little gold planters. I have a number of these little guys throughout the apartment and studio already, and I love how they add a little bit of life and colour into any space. Though the cacti themselves can be pretty easy to find, I always have a hard time finding planters that I love. I like the minimalist, antiqued look of this gold planter, though I'm thinking I might replicate the look with an old planter I already own and a coat of spray paint.
