Sometimes its hard to think of creative and exciting  things to do for that either anticipated or dreaded day in chilly February. So we've done a little research for you. Whether you're single, in a relationship, married or hate the pink, red and white day here are some ideas for February 14th or you heart themed weekend.

For the Romantic // Head to the Distillery District, romantic setting, you can either check out one of their restaurants, grab coffee at balzacs or even wander hand in hand and explore the different shops! Why not check out Tappo or Archeo for a meal, or grab coffee at balzacs and pastries at The Sweet Escape Pâtisserie.

What to wear // With this evening you can go two ways: casual or elegant. If you just going for coffee, we suggest grabbing our Free People Flying V Hacci Sweater with some boyfriend jeans, low boots and a bright pink toque. For something a little dressier, why not get all dolled up in our 860 Shots to the Heart dress, tights, a cute belt and some pink lips!

Its a great chill environment to get to know a date, catch up with a friend or make memories. No pressure because everything is planned for you!

What to wear // With the possibility of getting icing on your clothing you’re definitely going to go casual for this one. Throw on our 860 Skyline Sweatshirt and a pair of ripped boyfriend jeans and you'll be kitchen ready!

For the Girl on a Budget // Looking for something cute and impressive to do but have no money to make it happen? Why not take your date skating at the Habourfront. All you need are skates and a little money if you want to buy some hot drinks. If you can’t make it on the 14th check it out on the 15th for DJ and skate, its free and you get to have a live DJ music, your date will be even more impressed!

What to wear // With this weather being in the negative your going to want to dress in layers, so why not layer our  Jovonnista Dusty Rose Blouse under our Wildfox All Over Love Lennon Sweater in Lightning  with some faded jeans, a light pink coat and a our Plush Adore Beanie with a Ban.do Sequin Heart to complete this heart warming Valentine's Look.

For a Girls Night Out // What screams girls night out more than having a drink or 2 (or 5) and belting out sad ballads or cheesy oldies. Join in the fun at Monarch Tavern for the Worn Fashion Journal Karaoke Event. The event proceeds go to support Worn fashion Journal and help them get new lighting equipment. The rules? $7 admission, or $5 if you wear red or pink, $1 per son, $10 to cut the line, and $5 to sing Celine Dion. Oh and one more thing, its mandatory to come with your heart on your sleeve.

What to Wear // Well obviously we want to get that deal, so in the spirit of the day of red and pink, why not pick up our For Love & Lemons Florence Velvet Skirt, paired with a soft pink blouse, some tights and to top off the valentine's look, added a Ban.do Sequin Heart paired with a vintage brooch added at the waist.

For the Partier or the Anti-Valentine // Our amazing city has so many different options for people who want to just go out and have a great time. One that stuck out for us the Promise Heart Party located in a massive abandoned century warehouse complete with DJs, art installations and food. Another party that seemed particularly good and not just for people with valentines is the Damaged Goods Valentine's party at Parts and Labour: music, $5 cover and a Valentine's event for the people who aren't particularly excited for the day of love.

What to wear // Why not dress a little edgier with our Free People Vegan Leather Jacket  over our Whitney Eve Print Shift Dress with a metallic belt.
