So here we are, the Slow Dance Journal —

And you’re probably wondering what you can expect from this space, right? Simply put — this is where the magic happens.

Current inspirations, musings and wanderings, a peek behind the curtains of Slow Dance Studio (and life, because it’s all kind of intertwined at this point). We’ll share some peeks at what we’re working on, what we’re loving and who we’re crushing on (but not like, in a creepy way). There will definitely be some teaching moments, a look at our creative process (yes, the messy side too), and some real talk around what running a creative business really looks like. Sometimes it’ll get a bit personal, and other times, you’ll walk away inspired, or maybe with a new skill or way of looking at things.

You know how nail polish or paint swatch names tend to be a little over-the-top and instantly invite you into a story that goes way beyond “just” a shade of pink? We like to employ that same tactic when we’re creating colour palette
Our favourite sources of inspiration don't come from other brands, or another designers' portfolio. In fact, we aim for just the opposite, challenging ourselves (and our clients!) to look beyond our own industries for new ideas and creative ways to t
In the past when I've heard the term 'luxury branding' mentioned, my mind instantly went to fancy invite only events, unpriced items kept behind glass and an overall air of better-than-thou exclusivity.
